I’m working on a ‘theatrical’ short for the ODA, its supposed to be set on the Olympic site. But as its a nightmare of red tape to film there (even though the Olympics are the client!!), and the project budget is tiny, I decided to shoot the action in the green screen studio and comp the backgrounds together from a day of location stills.

So after the location shoot, here are a few tests using Vanishing Point in photoshop and a few other AE tricks to create the backgrounds. Its interesting how ramping up the DOF makes it look like a model shot!

Please excuse the crap keying and dodgy perspective of the caricatures, I nicked them from a project i did ages ago to act as place holders…

Shot in Summer 2008 shortly before the band broke up, this video represents great ambitions and amazing teamwork from all round.

Plagued by 0 budget, rain storms on the shoot day, bad apple (macs), a very busy director/editor and the allure of france!

Finally, roughly finished, purely as a thanks to all those involved.

There were such grand plans for this vid, but maybe it wasn’t to be as so many factors tried to wreck it…

Shot on EX1 (but due to drive failure lost all the master files, so had to use the previews, should have backed up, wont make that mistake again!)
